About Commitment

Our Commitment

1) The banner for our mission is Swadeshi Go Unnayan Parishad. The Trust starts from January, 2016 .

2) We are committed to collect by purchasing initially 2500 nos. of Calves from local weekly markets to shelter them in our Goshala to feed them properly with all our love and care. This will have a great impact on an undesirable prevailing practice. Now many people have been selling their cows and calves as they do not have shelters (Goushala) , no labour to mind the cows and also no Pasteur land for grazing. Being forced by this situation they sell them without knowing that after passing through 3-4 purchasing –hands their calves and cows are finally pushed to Slaughter House. Now they will have an option to sell their calves to us happily as it will assure them the well being of their cattle.

3) Apart from the calves, we will also adopt by purchasing neglected, sick, old cows and give them food, shelter & treatment so that they would breathe their last peacefully. Being the eternal-giver they deserve to get this care from us at this phase of their life.

4) In another 6 months we will collect by purchasing further 2500 nos. of cows whom we would nurture them by giving proper shelter, enough feeding, care and love where their well being will be restored and assured .

5) As a step towards total commitment the organization has planned to adopt eight villages of the local area and start its operation with care and concern.

6) 1000 houses and 1000 beneficiaries have been identified in eight villages of Parlakhemundi area for the starting up of the operation of the project.

7) As a matter of policy the beneficiaries of various categories include 35% old men, 25% neglected youth, 20% ladies and 20% unemployed youth.

8) 1000 cow sheds with a capacity of 5 cows in each block to be built.

9) Each beneficiary will be provided with 5 nos. of cows. They will be provided with feeds and medicine in 30% subsidy in market rate. In return milk will be purchased from the beneficiary in market rate

10) Washing, supervising, caretaking (health and others) will be taken care of by the organization.

11) Beneficiaries will buy the prescribed feeds and medicine from the organization, feed the cows and provide milk two times.

12) This initiative will generate 1000 direct employment and 5000 indirect employment. This will also encourage entrepreneurship; provide ownership, give scientific education and teach managerial quality and so on.

13) This project will also educate and promote organic farming in the locality and there by wage a war against hybridization and use of pesticide.

Myth of Mother Cow

Cow in India is worshiped as goddess. It is acclaimed as the sacred creation of almighty. It is too believed that mother cow is the replica of Kamadhenu, the cow of heaven. It is manifested as the kamadhuk meaning kamadhenu the original wish fulfilling cows known as the surabhi cows. The surabhi cow descended from the spiritual worlds and manifested herself in the heavenly spheres from the aroma of celestial nectar for the benefit of all created beings. The direct descendants of the surabhi cows are the sacred cows from the continent India which are uniquely distinguished the same as the surabhi. Cows are the mothers of all creatures. Cows are verily the mothers of the 33 crores of demigods that administrate creation in the material existence throughout the universe. Cows are the goddesses of the gods and the refuge of all auspiciousness. Cows bestow every kind of happiness and for this reason they always are worshiped. Cows are the support of all the worlds for by their milk they nourish terrestrial beings and by their ghee offered in sacrifice they nourish the denizens of the celestial realms. Cows are equivalent to our mothers for when the mother's milk gets dried up the cow gives her milk unselfishly to nourish and strengthen us. Cow milk is the most compatible with human mother's milk then any other species in existence. This is because the DNA of the cow was specifically constructed to be harmonious with mammalian human DNA. So it can be clearly understood that cow DNA was designed so humans could benefit from cows products being milk, cheese, butter, cream and yoghurt. Despite the beauty of cows and its products, they are treated as ordinary as other animals these days. Science and technology advances and morality declines. As a matter of fact, we are heading towards ecological and natural imbalance along side the eco-unfriendly atmosphere. To get red of such disharmony and to establish relationship with cows, specially Indian cows have become the call of the day. As a whole we can say that there is no replacement of cows.

Endangered species

It is tragic to note that 80% of the cows are cross-breed and hi-breed where as only 20% are Indian cows. The rate of extinction of this species is so high that in near future the existence of it has become a question. It is really tragic that at the cost of this eco-friendly cow, we have allowed the encroachment of cross breed and Jersey and invited Diabetis, Blood Pressure, Autisim, Mental Disorder, Metabolic Degenarative disease. But we will not let it continue. So it is the time for us to wake up to form and see a better tomorrow.

BENEFITS OF DESI COW'S Milk

i) Milk is a balanced diet which contains protein, carbohydrate, mineral, water etc. Therefore, cow milk is the only substitute of mother's milk. Like milk ghee, yogurt and a few other milk products serve as ambrosia.
ii) Medical science has explored a startling fact that the milk of hybrid cows contains more diabetic potential then the milk of Indian cows.

Necessity of Indian Cows

Go Maata is the nourisher, the ever-giving and an eternal un-demanding provider to mankind. As if Mother Nature beautifully personified. It is not far of time, rather probably after 5 years only that we will have to explain our children about Go Maata by narrating story or showing old films on it. How tragic it will be. Can we forgive ourselves for this disappearance? Is it forgivable?
Now the million-dollar-question is why should we bother about their disappearance. There are many other threatened species in this world. Yes, but no other creature can be compared with our Go Maata. It is so generous that it takes only grass, water & husk of grains but in return it generates Amruta for mankind. Amruta not only in the form of milk, but also in its urine & dung. Milk for life-giving nutrition and medicines made out of Go Mutra and dung for saving life and having no substitute.
She gives her milk not only to her calf but also saves life of many human beings in infancies, in sickness and also in old-age. In all these stages, we have no other option but to rely on milk only for our survival. This apart, 48 nos. of medicines from Go Mutra and minimum 20 nos. of medicated products from its dung are prepared. Several references are available in our Ayurveda that cows inhabitting in Gobardhan Hill, Mahendra Parvat, bank of Bangsahdhara River were specially gifted by nature that “Mahuasadhi Sanjivani” was prepared from their Urine & Dung mixing with a herb . Sanjivani has the power to cure any malady and could revive even a dead person if applied in time. Go Mataa has an important role in our rich culture & heritage for their dignity, strength, endurance, maternity an selfless life.

Biogas from cow dung

It is found in a survey that 15 days of Go Mutra and dung of an Indian cow can create a magic in 1 acres of land in organic farming. The bumper crop remains free from any negative impact of chemical manure. Cow dung used for heat, fire and gas, saves million of plants from being firewood.On-farm biogas plants will collect cow dung from adapted cattle sheds, mix it with water and channel it into fermentation pits. The resulting gas is fed directly to the farmer's household to provide energy for cooking, laundry and lighting. The biogas plants will produce organic waste which is dried and used as fertiliser. Both fertiliser and fuel wood will increasingly expensive in the country and biogas will have a potentially important future. It may also be used to manage organic waste in urban settings.
